Yesterday, Microsoft held their Windows 10 event where they revealed a lot more about the new Windows 10 operating system, including a few surprises.

While some people will already be signed up for the Windows 10 technical preview, the full version will be available as early as next week for those who pre-ordered. What's more, the new OS will be provided as a free update for a year if you are already running Windows 7 or 8.1. Perhaps after a year Windows 11 will be released?

A whole host of new features were also detailed which you can find out more about here. However, the big surprise of the event was the announcement of the Microsoft HoloLens, a headset which overlays a digital image onto the real world. This is an exciting move from Microsoft and we'll be sure to keep an eye out for any developments.
