Netflix, Comcast and Net Neutrality

The issue of “Net Neutrality” is a huge point of contention between ISP providers, cable firms and the average internet user. At first glance, Net Neutrality may appear inconsequential to most of us, but the argument about bandwidth will ultimately pass added cost on to us all.

Is Netflix 4K The Reason For 160Mb Broadband?

BT Infinity just got faster, a whole lot faster.  Their upgraded broadband network can now deliver ‘ground breaking’ speeds of up to 160Mbps in some areas, making it ‘13x faster than the UK average’.1  Ground breaking though it may be, this also raises a question. What are people going to do with it?

Sheffield - A 4G City

On the 30th of October Sheffield will become one of the first cities in the UK with a commercially available 4G mobile network.  This will signal the beginning of the final stage of a long journey for Everything Everywhere (EE), the joint UK venture between France Telecom (Orange) and Deutsche Telecom (T-Mobile) and has been tipped to secure or create more than 6,500 jobs across the region.
